Mixed media and collage. 26" x 36" on canvas. Cut outs and used canvas strips build the composition adding texture and interest. Soft calming colors of green, brown and creme. The inspiration: Once several years ago when I was in a Tuscan village in Italy looking for a modest room - a place to stay for the night. A handsome Italian man befriended me and we spent the evening together with friends. The pasta was gorgeous, the conversation was delicious, and the wine was flowing. Then he found the room at the top for me.
